Why should I apply for the Herald Student Reporters?
AWorking as a student reporter will help you learn the basic skills needed to write articles in English and how to convey your intended message as accurately and logically as possible. It will be a good opportunity to develop the basic skills you need to write the essays, theses, reports, and proposals that are essential for college and social life, not to mention your current school classes.

How does the Herald Student Reporters Program work?
AThe program is held for a total of six months. During this time, you can write up to six articles in English. Based on feedback from the editors, you will gain know-how on article-writing, logical structure, content development, and copyright-related matters. The final article, which undergoes thorough and systematic verification of its writing and feedback and revision processes, is published in The Herald Tomorrow online newspaper.

When do you recruit the Herald Student Reporters?
AThe Herald Student Reporters program begins four times a year—in February, May, August, and November. Each term lasts for six months. For example, the term that starts in November accepts new applications beginning in September, and the activities continue for six months, from November to the following March.

How much is the registration fee?
AThe registration fee for new students is CAD $650. Returning reporters from previous terms can re-register with a reduced fee of CAD $550. This fee covers all six months of activities, including the initial orientation and guidance, article-by-article feedback and communication, editing and feedback from our English editors, proofreading and comments from professional proofreaders, as well as the publishing process.
